PLEASE READ GUIDELINES THOROUGHLY
Target Attention: Please also read: Social Guidelines.

The goal at Assassins-Fanart is to give the fans of Assassin's Creed a place to share their work. We are ran by fans, for fans. As such, we are not affiliated with Ubisoft.

:bulletred: Estimated time for your work to be posted in our Galleries is 1 to 48 hours. Our group moderators must make sure that each piece adheres to our group submission, credit, and criteria guidelines. We will process your submission as soon as possible. The submission process does not usually take more than a day.

Policies
  1. Submissions not meeting club criteria will be subject to a decline without comments. Please refer to this guideline if you have questions.
  2. We encourage our members to write articles to submit to our blog.
  3. Contributor status will only be granted to long-standing members with quality submissions. If you think that this applies to you, please do not hesitate and petition an admin, and we will vote amongst ourselves to make you a contributor or not.

We know that it is always sad to have a rejection in your inbox, and Assassins-Fanart does not like giving them out. However, your acceptance as a member comes with your acceptance of our guidelines. Reviewing our guidelines in advance will inform you of what you can and cannot submit. Thus, you will have fewer rejections from us.

These guidelines are not meant to deter you from submitting. In fact, it is quite the opposite. We think that you joined here for one of the following reasons:

  • to see awesome art and fiction.
  • You like to encourage others to make awesome art and | or fiction
  • you want to talk about Ubisoft games--especially Assassin's Creed--with fans of the series.

We would like to make it as easy as possible for our members to do just that.

Credit Guidelines
  • All submissions must follow all of DeviantArt's Terms of Service.
  • If you want to use a resource created by someone else, you must credit them in the description of your piece. Google and wallpaper sites do not count as valid resources.
  • All resources used must be credit. There is no expections to this rule. If we see a photo or resource used with no credit, there is no way that we know if an artist has permission to use said resouce.
  • Both Fan Art and Fan Fiction must credit the original sources. The title of the Source Material and name of the character (if applicable must be stated in the description.
    Example:
  1. Assassin's Creed is a trademark of Ubisoft Entertainment.
  2. Ezio and the distinctive likeness are trademarks of Ubisoft Entertainment
  3. Edward Kenway (c) Ubisoft
  • If any of these Credit Guidelines are violated, the submission will be placed in review. The group owner will contact you regarding the issue. If it is not resolved, the submission will be declined. You have two weeks to answer.

The Visual Artwork Submission Guidelines

1. We will only accept fan works fully done by you: digitally or traditionally. We do allow you to use bases and 3d artwork and photo-manipulations. Crafts are also accepted. We allow the submission of collaborative works with other artists and writers, as long as you have their permission and they are credited on the piece of artwork.

Assassins-Fanart does not care if you drew by hand. However, your artwork needs to show effort, and it does need to be recognized as fanart.

What does that mean? The art must display motifs and designs that are recognizable as coming from Assassin's Creed. This is not limited to tattoos, armor|clothing designs, accessories, etc.

3. Only finished, polished artwork should be accepted to the main games' galleries. Any WIP should be submitted to MISC, and it will be sorted at a later time. White and black artwork of high quality is acceptable as gallery submission.

3D artwork must have a clear background to be placed in the Art Galleries. Otherwise, it will go into the appropriate Other Gallery.

4. Remember to use your mature filters. We will enforce this.

5. Please keep in mind that this is an Assassin's Creed fan group. Original Characters are welcome, but if they are not recognized as AC Characters, we cannot accept them.

6. Be careful when using references. Copyright infringement is a complicated issue.

If you ever in doubt of a piece of fanwork, you can send a PM to one of the admins.

Fan Fiction Submission Guidelines
Although we have our own fanfiction group, we do accept fanfiction here as well. All work should be complete and original. This means that a short story could be accepted, as well as individual chapters.

All stories must have a beginning, middle, and an end. If you are not familiar with how to write a story, there are many resources available on the internet.

As a fan club, we don't claim credit for creating the characters or the worlds associated with Assassin's Creed, and we do not profit commercially from our works. This fan club is about the ability to share and indulge in your fandom.

We want to keep Assassins-Fanart a safe place for you to share and express your love (and dissatisfaction) with the franchise.
Double-Check Your Work
Please remember to check our Submission Guidelines before you submit a piece of artwork.

We understand that not all fans dabble in the same media. There is more than one way to express your love for Assassin's Creed. We accept all forms of media, as long as it does not violate those guidelines.

However, remember to double-check that you are not violating DevaintArts' guidelines as well. It helps to cite the references when you submit your work.

Don't bully.
Please remember that copyright is a legal issue and that there are laws and courts that enforce it.  DA users have no right to harass you unless they are the owners of the work in question.

Flaming, trolling, online bullying, stalking, and harassment is not endorsed by this club. We will remove members who encourage and participate in such behavior.
Be alert.
With all that said, you should not hesitate to report people who are violating club and DA policy. Raising those issues are okay. We don't have eyes everywhere, and we are human and do make mistakes.

If you see a problem with someone's deviation, please feel free to note an admin first to see if we can resolve the source of the issue to protect the privacy and identity of all involved.

If admin intervention does not help, then we can take it to the next level, which would be to report it to the DA admins to ask that the member is given a warning or banned.

I ask that you help keep this fan club a creative and nurturing place for artists and writers willing to talk about our favorite fandom. Remember, a community is only as good as the people within it.
