My name is Erika Krieger, I am a Gothic girl who was born and lives in Argentina, South America. I am a college student of the English Teaching Profession but I work fixing Windows Systems as I am a geek since my childhood and I love computers and know how to build desktops PCs. I do arts for the sake of doing it, and I also write a lot of stuff on the internet about my ideals of the type of civilization we should be. I am a traditional artist, a digital painter, a 3D render, I do photomanipulation and mixed media between them all too. Why do you do what you do?
I have shown an artistic tendency since my childhood and I have started drawing at the age of 3 with markers and pencils on the walls at home. Yeah, poor Mom and Dad who had to clean and paint it all again XDWhat's your background?
I have no studies related to art besides the basic high school. All what I do I do it because I have always been interested in drawing and painting. When I finished high school (with the second best marks of the whole school) I started being interested in digital art but for years I did not have a digital tablet until in 2009 my dear Dad (rest in peace) bought me a digital Genius tablet, so since then I have got into the digital painting world and 3D world. What's integral to the work of an artist?
I think that MOST artist are too critical on their work and many of them are frustrated when they see other people’s being extremely good at what they do, something difficult to reach. I am NOT like this. I don’t care of how good are others, I only make art for the sake of doing. I am very happy with the results, and most of the times my artworks end up being as I previously imagined, or better. I don’t follow anyone’s style, I sincerely don’t understand why many artists are so critical with their work. If you are an amateur as I am, I don’t think that it’s a good idea to try to please other people’s eyes. Do art for pleasure and for you, unless you work and are paid or unless you are an art student, if not, you shouldn’t care so much about what others want you to paint. What role does the artist have in society?
It’s merely for aesthetic purposes in most times, but there are some of these times in which an art style has great impact on the era people are living, like in the Renaissance when artists reflected their ideals of humanity being portrayed with greater role than in previous eras when most main roles were attributed to religious characters only. The same goes for history. In historical events, art was and is still a way of portraying important events. Wars, epidemics, conquers, change of types of governments etc. have always been shown through paintings along our history. What themes do you pursue?
I am mainly a fanartist. I do fanart of characters from whatever series, videogames, anime and whatever I like. I am very idealistic person in my writing but not in my artworks which are merely for, as I said, aesthetic purposes. Yes, I do write a lot. Pay a look at “When are we humans going to be Civilization Type 1”
: (Collection in Google+ about me being “Against the monetary system, dogmas, military, poverty, governments and wars!”)Why art?
Art is a way of decreasing stress and also, a merely way of enjoying in fanart what I can’t see in the games or anime or series I love. For example, I am a yaoi fanartist sometimes. In videogames you don’t see the characters…. Well… kissing uh? In my fanart you can see that, so it satisfies my eye and people with same tastes than I. I don’t care about the rest of the fandom. I already received lots of criticism in my life as a gothic woman as to accept receiving more critiques for my fanart. What is an artistic outlook on life?
Well, art can portray an artist’s ideals as I mentioned, but in my case I don’t portray them with fanart, but in my writing. What memorable responses have you had to your work?
I have one opportunity to show my digital art in a small Art Expo in my college.
I received many positives reviews that day!In regards to your art, what are your goals?
My goals are none. I just do not want to be criticized; I am NOT an art student. I am totally amateur. I do not critique anyone. Everyone should just draw or paint or render what they want without being impolitely shouted at. I am also a traditional artist, indeed I have done traditional drawings and paintings for more years than digital art, but you know what? On the net, people is very competitive (not me, I am NOT) and they complain about something they don’t even know how to make. I am a traditional artist, a digital painter, a 3D render, I do photomanipulation and mixed media between them all too, but I have received critiques of people who have not the faintest idea how 3D works, and they are based on their knowledge of digital or traditional painting so they don’t know what they are writing about .Artist QuestionsWhat is your favorite virtue?

First Assassin’s Creed is and will always be my favourite because I like the medieval setting, and because I am absolutely madly in love with Altair Ibn La A’had and Malik Al Sayf. Who is your favorite protagonist?
Altair Ibn La A’had.Who is your favorite antagonist?
Cesare Borgia. What is your favorite setting?
Medieval times always, especially if in Middle East. My favourite city will always be Damascus in Syria. The more modern they get in the timeline, the less I like. BUT that doesn’t mean I am not enjoying the rest of Assassin’s Creed franchise, I love them ALL! I see that in your artist comment on the winning piece that you like Malik. What is it about him that you like?
Malik is a strong character. I like strong personalities and Malik suffered a lot in his life, his younger brother whom he loved a lot was murdered in Solomon's temple. He lost his left arm and injured as he was, he fought for his life and alone managed to return Masyaf and gave Al Mualim the Piece of Eden!. After a time of anger and frustration he forgave Altair for his mistakes. Malik was part of the reasons why Altair became a better person, they ruled the Assassin Order. Following Al Mualim's defeat and Altaïr's ascension to Mentor, Malik became Altaïr's close colleague and his right-hand man. Together, the two worked to design new assassination techniques, which Altaïr recorded in his personal journal.Additional Artwork
